oh amy, you’s a crazy mess.

I cheated myself like I knew I would
I told you I was trouble
You know that I’m no good

–Amy Winehouse

But the girl makes a good point.

I’m feeling ultra-introspective in advance of the birthday, like always. This year is no exception and I fight the “This? THIS is my life?” thing more than usual this time of year. Surely one of these days I’m going to have my act together. (All I have to do is figure out what, where and with whom. After that, I’m all set.)

I need to spend less time online.

All I Need

And when I lose my will
You’ll be there to push me up the hill

Advice to college students: STAY IN SCHOOL. Like, forever. The real world kind of sucks. By the time you’re making enough money to live off of (although I could totally use a raise, can I get an “amen”?), you will have “homework” that needs to be done, on your own time. The company for which you work will not be impressed by your after hours efforts (unless those efforts involve copying your butt on the office copier…but that’s an entirely different matter, now isn’t it?), but will always demand more, more. So the real world is a LOT like college–homework, projects, crazy colleagues, drama–but minus the sweet schedule.

And: iTunes has replaced my Top 25 Most Played playlist with 25 songs I NEVER listen to. What gives?! I see it properly in iTunes, but on my phone it’s all wrong. How do I fix this?

Finally: One week until U2 with Joey! How could that NOT be a stellar evening?
