I went about my day today, doing the “real life” stuff that being an adult requires (because if it was all rock stars and awesome music, I’d be bored), and I’d remember a cool thing from last night (like looking up and seeing a plane fly overhead after commenting on that very thing), being able to feel the music in my bones, a funny moment or a joke shared with my dear friend Joey…and I smiled.

I’m not going to talk about this concert forever–any words I’ll use won’t do it justice–but I can say that it was a wonderful evening, start to finish. I can’t wait until the next one…next time I get to see Joey, the next concert, the next thing. Life is grand. It’s not always good or fun, but it’s a grand adventure for sure. I can’t wait to see what’s next. I feel like I’m on the edge of Something Very Big.

From the outside in. (The old Astrodome sits on the left, Reliant on the right. The ‘Dome looks puny compared to this facility. And it’s decidedly not puny.)

From the inside out.

Lights off.

Showtime!

These are not great photos (Joey’s are much better), but it helps to explain why I’m so flabbergasted as a result of this show. Maybe.
I still have a little bit of concert hangover, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
